While the word on Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is spreading like wildfire across the world, Galaxy Note GT-N7000 users are interested about the latest Jelly Bean update dubbed as XXLSZ, XXLT4, XXLT9, XXLTA, DDLSC. Though the update was rolled out on German shores, it can be installed to the international variant of the Galaxy Note. We recognize that some are just itching to root this new firmware so we’re delivering a rooting method just for you.

Requirements
- A Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 with XXLRG firmware installed
- If you haven’t updated your phone, check our guide on how to flash the Jelly Bean firmware to your Samsung Galaxy Note.
- Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data.
- Download the following files:
- This is just a kernel which needs to be installed first. Do Not Worry, this will not brick your phone.
- This kernel depends on the region and on the Update, for ex. We have a DDLSC Rom, so we will be using a LSC Kernel! You can find it here like this!
- This kernel will provide you CWM recovery and ROOT
- To download the kernel refer to this link > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
- Go to Post 3 and find the preferred kernel for your choice and Please be appropriate..
- TO CHECK WHICH KERNEL TO CHOOSE ON: READ DOWN
- Go to Settings> About Phone> and their you see the build number. on the end take the last three digits.. we have a DDLSC Rom so we will prefer the LSC Kernel!
Instructions
- Copy the Philz Kernel.zip to your Externel SD Card and reboot into recovery.
- To boot into recovery First, Power Off your phone and then Hold the POWER+VOLUME UP+Home keys at the same time and keep pressing them until you see the Galaxy Note Boot Screen and then leave them!
- In the Recovery Select the option to "Install Update From External SD"
- And then navigate to the file and flash it! after flashing go back to normal and WHOA, your device is rooted
- Once flashing is done, your phone will already be rooted. Go back to the main recovery menu and select Reboot System Now to reboot your phone.
- Open SuperSU application from your app drawer and update the su binary.
Great! You’ve just rooted your Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean build DDLSC. Watch for modifications and hacks for this firmware!
